Abridged Edition; Read by Campbell ScottThis audio was a little different than most -- the author gives you some room to draw your own conclusions. Take the main character for instance; FBI agent Mark Beamon, is he a "good guy" because it says so on the back of the case? How about the guy he is tracking down? This man's solution to today's drug problem is to poison a huge amount of cocain and heroin at the source. Does that make him "bad"? The book gives you the impression that the public at large support his efforts...good or bad??? This book shows the other side of his crusade; innocents trying a drug for the first time and dying, recreational users, politician's children also dying, and the heightening movement to stop the murders. Is out drug policy failing miserably? Are we wasting our tax money and time while trying to stop the proliferation of drugs, when we could put the money to work in other areas? What can we, as a country, do about the drug trade? These questions and others are brought forward in this audio ... like I said, it's a little different angle on an old question. I really liked this book, and I liked the author's viewpoint!
