Bitten and Smitten was a breezy, quick read that is more chick lit than paranormal. Excellent way to slightly shake up the existing chick lit formula. Please note that the romance is pretty light and there are no explicit intimacy scenes to speak of, so if these are important, you should pass. But ... there is chemistry and kissing and lots of laugh out loud snarky (think Joss Whedon) humor. The author also peppers enough pop references to keep TV and genre fans quite happy. The heroine speaks much of retail therapy. This was sort of vamp therapy for a warm spring day.
