This is Book 3 of the Neverwinter series.

I was so encouraged by the potential of the last book that I immediately moved on to this one. I'm glad that I did! This book, even more so than the last one, had more of the feeling of the "old" RA Salvatore to it, and I am pleased to say that I truly enjoyed it.

I am thrilled that RAS has returned to something that I have always enjoyed, and that is his character development. The return of Artemis Entreri has been fascinating to watch and his story arc alone was enough to keep me engaged. Drizzt is finally starting to act more like his old self again, and that is a welcome change. Dahlia is interesting enough, but I have never really taken to her as a character and I'm starting to grow quite weary of her. She is not a good match for Drizzt and I am pleased that he is finally starting to see that as well.

I felt like this was a much better plot. It was delightfully reminiscent of older novels well before the Transitions series took everything south. In all, I enjoyed this book much more than I expected, and I hold high hopes for the last in the series.
