Hmmmmm, let me think. I only gave three and a quarter stars because it was slow starting; however having said that you had to have alot of background to the story. The research was stellar and the emotions attributed to Elizabeth were spot on and very plausible.

Once I read about half way the story really got much better and started to catch me. As a matter of fact I stayed up last night to finish because there was not a good stopping point.

Interesting and fun premise. I am an unashamed Angliophyle and completely convinced that Arthur and Sherlock Holmes really did exist so this was a romp for me. Some sex involved but mild, I do not think it would be offensive to anyone.

All in all if you like your English history, or the Tudor Period, or vampires give it a try.
