Another excellent story written by Knight about a knight. It was a page turner for me, as this series fascinates me. Either everyone else has read these books or doesn't have an interest in them, as none seem to be on anyone's WL. The author of this series was a forensic scientist, and his 12th century protagonist uses some of those methods to solve crimes.

The best part of the book---if you can call it that---is the almost sudden solving of the biggest problem in Crowner John's life and his sorrowful reaction to it. But it all ends happily.

In case you don't figure it out the "yellow plague" in this book is yellow fever, which still infects about 200,000 people per year and kills about 30,000 of them.
