I want to get this out first. This was one of the most horribly written books I have ever had to read. The content was good, however I'm not sure this book ever saw an editor or was proof read. Talk about being all over the place. On once sentence he is talking about something that happened when he was 5 and then in the next he's 14. All throughout the book it went like this. Sometimes it would get confusing as to what age he was in or exactly what situation was going on. At times it was confusing to whome he was talking about at times. It's a shame because this book had a lot more potential. I would suggest that before you read this book you should read "Stolen Innocence" by Elissa Wall, "Escape" by Carolyn Jessup, and 'Church of Lies" by Flora Jessop to get the full detail of what was going on among the FLDS.

What happened to this man was atrocious and should not have happened. I may not have enjoyed how the book was written, but my heart goes out to this man and what he had to go through. One of the most important things he did talk about was the cult mentality of the members and how someone could actually get caught up and believe all the garbage that was being thrown at them. I normally don't judge others religion, but when it comes to hurting the members and committing unspeakable acts is when I have something to say. Warren Jeffs is beyond disgusting. For what he did, he should never ever see the light of day literally. I think a dark cell with no light is too good for that piece of garbage. Anyone that still follows him should receive the same treatment as well.
