Love Walked In by Merrilee Whren This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it! Beth has been hurt by church people and one wild man, so she has no room in her life or heart for either. Then Clay comes roaring in on his motorcycle with his long hair and moves into the apartment next door. Despite her efforts to avoid him, they are throw together over and over and as Beth sees the good influence Clay is having on her son, Max, she decides maybe she has misjudged him. But she still isn't sure about God and church. There is a lot in this book about expectations and judgment. About preconceived notions and expecting people to be something they are not. There is also a message here about how the words spoken by "well-meaning" Christians can do so much damage and drive someone away from the Lord. Very good story.
