A interestingly strange novel. The writing was great but I had some disconnect with the characters. They were not as well developed as I would of hoped. The author has a outrageously strange and magical imagination and makes this a perfect story for a series. The real vintage photo's are amazing and add a whole new dimension to the story. Making it very real. This author had a huge opportunity to make this a deeper story if he had only developed the background history of the children, you would have more attachment to them. A great teenager book.
