I loved this book. I got it out of the library, then had to get my own copy because I loved it so much. It is a family/ town saga - complete with the town legends, which makes it sort of gothic. It is not a romance, more like a John Irving novel -- sort of fantasy in places. Reminded me of "The Monsters of Templeton", which I also loved. A very inventive and imaginative book. It was great!
