As a child, my Jewish faith never quite interested me, especially when I was too young to appreciate the history behind my religion. Now that I am adult, reading about the Holocaust and the pain and suffering the Jews endured is extremely disturbing in addition to unconscionable. Although any aspect of the Holocaust is far from uplifting, I have been given a new-found appreciation for my ancestry, more so for those who lived to tell about this ordeal. No matter what religion you may follow, this book will certainly give you a new perspective on how to appreciate what truly matters and how the most difficult circumstances we may face throughout our lives are a lot less cumbersome when we have the will, support, and determination to prevail.
