I got this book to review through NetGalley. This is the second book in the Hidden Legacy series. I have been enjoying this series quite a bit. I don't like it quite as much as the Kate Daniels series or the Edge Chronicles; but it is a good series.
The series is urban fantasy in tone but also has a bit of a futuristic feel to it. I enjoyed the world building and Nevada's family is very fun to read about. The chemistry between Rogan and Nevada is well done (it reminds me a lot of the relationship between Kate and Curran from the Kate Daniels series).
There is a lot of action and I enjoyed watching Nevada learn more about her talent and gain in power.
The only issue I had with this book is at times it seemed like the story was being written by two different people (which I know it is). However, it was very obvious that the romance and the action scenes were written by different people because they didn't blend very well.
Overall this was an excellent addition to the Hidden Legacy series. I continue to enjoy this series, although I don't love it as much as I loved the Kate Daniels series or the Edge Chronicles. I would recommend to urban fantasy fans.
