Group of short stories featuring a recurring private eye character living in San Francisco of 1890's. The writing includes a lot of period detail and fun language of the time. One story features Sherlock Holmes on a supposed stay in the Bay area. If familiar with Pronzini's writing this will be a fun book to read. This copy has a bit of water damage to the pages but the binding is firm and covers look great.
