Former TV personality, Ali Reynolds, has been known to get involved with police investigations in an effort to help solve crimes. And this murder is no different.

Ali Reynolds is renovating her new house when the foreman of her construction crew is arrested for murdering his wife. Ali knows Bryan Forester pretty well and doesn't believe he has done this horrible crime. When Bryan asks Ali to help him investigate, she agrees to help and soon finds herself in hot water with both the detective involved and the murderer.

This is a really well written mystery with many seemingly unrelated characters who are all unbelievably intertwined. You know who the murderer is from the first page but following the police -- while they waste their time assuming the husband did it -- is very interesting. Though, as expected, it is Ali who ultimately solves the mystery.

This is the first book I've read by J.A. Jance but it will certainly not be the last. What a terrific book!
