Jaymee Ballard grew up in a dysfunctional family. Pregnant at sixteen by a man trusted by her family, she was coerced into giving up her baby for adoption. Jaymee discovers that the adoption was illegal and asks her friend, Lana, to help her get evidence. When Lana is murdered, Jaymee moves back to her hometown. She confides her secrets to a friend who is also found murdered.

Lana's husband, Nick Samuels, comes to town when he receives a message from his wife's killer. Soon Jaymee and Nick are thrown together trying to stop a killer before he strikes again, and find Jaymee's daughter.

This is a solid romantic suspense story and the first book in Stacy Green's Delta Crossroads series. There are several characters in this book that could be the killer. The story has many twists and turns that I didn't expect. This is my first book by this author but it won't be the last. I will hopefully get to reads the next book in this series soon. My rating: 4 Stars.
