So glad i started this one. Mac is a great character. Her life is thrown into turmoil upon the brutal murder of her sister. Not content to just let things lie, she flies to Ireland to further investigate her sisters death. Upon her arrival she finds out that things aren't what they seem and everything she had ever believed about her life is a lie. This first book is really about her adjustment to her new life. Although she can see what her new reality is, she is fighting with her past reality because it was safe and warm and loving. Jericho Barrons is someone whom she cannot truly trust, but at least she knows that he will have her back because he needs her special gift. The book is written in the first person and I enjoyed Mac's perspective on the changes going on in her life.
