This series finally seems to have a start. The first two books in the Titan series are good and they do a good job introducing the series and tying in the story arch, if you will, from the last Generations movie. However, with that said, Bennett really gets this crew away from the usual and into the unexplored.
This book really lets you see deep into the Troi character for the first time. Star Trek fans know Troi, but this book somehow does what no other writer, book or TV, has done to date. You see right into what makes her tick. This is true for all the Titan characters. Bennett really gets into what makes these characters ... alien.
A must read!
