Okay, so here's another chicklit novel about the fat girl who loses weight and finds The Man Of Her Dreams. While Palmer does her best to make her protagonist quirky and lovable, she really just comes off whiny and self-conscious and an emotional punching bag. The most telling line in the book is when the main character compares herself to an egotist with a self-esteem problem -- the only thing she can think about is herself, and the only thing she can think is how inadequate she is.
