Here is a neat little package containing nine interesting stories: a natty introduction to Leblancs gentleman-burglar who comes and goes by hiding in plain sight. He is the antithesis of Sherlock Holmes. Unlike Holmes, his exploits are not explained in great detail, nor are they summarized in the excruciating detail of Poirot. Put him closer to John Kendrick Bangs Raffles Holmes, albeit Lupin remains basically a thief. This is an enjoyable read to break the drudgery of those deep philosophical tomes that you often force yourself to finish.
