This is Gillian Flynn's third, eagerly awaited book and in typical fashion, involves murder, a sociopath, and a marriage gone stale. The story is about the marriage of Nick and Amy, two former Manhattan-ites who are forced by circumstance to move back to rural Missouri. Elitist Amy has a hard time fitting into Missouri society and on the day of their fifth wedding anniversary, disappears under what appears to be violent circumstances. Of course Nick is the primary suspect, but if you've read any of Ms. Flynn's other books, you know that things are not what they seem. This book has plenty of twists and turns and every single little prop and character may or may not be what they appear to be. This piece is meticulously written and I didn't want it to end. I cannot more highly recommend this book!
