Since I am not a teenager I was skeptical that I would ever read this book. It took the referral of another non-teenager to convince me to investigate. I am so glad, what an enjoyable piece of storytelling this is. Jump in, join the crowd, this is plane old entertaining lit. Take it on a vacation, you will be through it and charmed in two or three days.
I saw the movie first, it didn't ruin it, though the movie really does give you 95 percent of all there is. The book doesn't embellish the thought processes of the characters as much as I had hoped. In that way the story isn't as 'toothsome' as it could have been.
