The first third of the book is just political opinions, often idealistic and uninformed.
Second & third part of the book is where she gives us stories about the cultural exchanges during her wedding, and birth. I found it well written BUT hard to follow the dialogs, as they would often be cut off and inlaid with a full page of political agendas, and explanations of things most of us know from watching the news. It was very disruptive and I often found my self tending to skip the tedious explanations.
For someone who is not a total stranger to middle eastern culture the book has not much to hold their attention.
This book is a far cry to Funny in Farsi or the Beauty school of Kabul...
