I thought this was really fun! It's hard to write another big hit after "Devil Wears Prada" and lots of people gave this book bad reviews, but I disagree. We read about this type of night-life in magazines and the book lends a hand to how it all starts. I also think the characters are really likable. It's easy to get swept up in the excitement of the big city, and sometimes it takes a couple of hard knocks before we come out on top having learned what's really important.
Fun, light, a little romantic, and much more entertaining than my own career path!! You'll be rooting for Bette the whole way!
