When Audra escapes the convents to join the Nez Perce her reception is not a welcome one. For athe white man's treatment of the indians has taken its toll. Still, Silver Wing is unable to repress his desire for Audra, and their passion foges a bond of trust, one that tempers Silver Wing's anger. But when horses are stolen and a warrior is found dead Silver Wing's lust for vengence threatens everyone around him and Audra can only hope that their love is string enough to survive what the future will bring.
