Absolutely not what I expected. The author did a good job describing the life and times of Kyle growing up in the mid 1970's in a rural area. The story was alot darker than I had expected, but it also showed the strengths and lengths some people will go to get justice and protect the innocent. But sadly, not everyone can be saved from the evil darkness. I gave it 4 out 5 stars.
