Jen Brotherhood and her husband, Kelly, are waiting for their eighteen-year-old son to return home before his curfew. Jen is relieved when she sees Todd walking toward the house; but she is shocked when she sees Todd stab a man who approached him on the road. The police arrive quickly and take Todd into custody for murder. Neither Jen nor Kelly can believe what they saw. The next morning, Jen wakes up determined to contact a good lawyer for her son. But she quickly discovers that today is not the day after the murder...it is the day before.

Jen is living her life backwards and doesn't know why. Each morning she wakes up at an earlier point in her life. Each day she sees the changes in Todd that she never noticed before because she was busy with her career. As Jen goes further and further back in time, she discovers crucial clues to what caused her son to murder a stranger.

I used to enjoy reading time-travels; but haven't read a good one in a long time. Finally, I found one worth reading! This is tightly-plotted mystery with a unique premise. Jen knows that she must find out why her son would commit such a heinous act. With each leap backwards, she collects new information. There were several twists to the plot. I guessed a few of them, but others were a complete surprise. I highly recommend this book. My rating: 5 Stars.
