Number 3 in a triology by Lorraine Heath, who I usually adore. Set in the mid 1800s in London.

Even though the writing was good, the dialogue flowed well, and the story progressed at an even clip, I found myself trudging through this novel.

This is all a matter of personal preference, but I didn't enjoy reading with the backdrop of nursing and war. The hero had an interesting back story, and I did like the ending much better than the first in the series, I just couldn't get into reading when so much was referenced to the horrors of war. While I am not by any means unappreciative of the military and what they do, I prefer not to read that as I am escaping the rigors of real life to read a happily ever after.
