Written in 2008, I guess this is when King's books were starting to get really long. He's written so many, it is hard to keep track. The story takes some time to build up, I guess that's part of his charm? I live in the area where this takes place, and I thought I'd give it a try.I've found I usually either love or hate his stuff lately. His ability to write creepy stuff shines through in this one. While it's good and creepy, he couldn't resist throwing in some of his political rants, for lack of a better word. The book does not benefit from this at all. Even in 2008 he was doing this. Not a bad story all in all, could have been about 200 pages shorter.
