This was a very interesting book and a quick read. Especially if you watch the series and have read the The Vampire Diaries books.

I found that it was a mixture both. Some things were pulled from the actual books, other things from the show. Some I do not remember from either, but it still made the story.

So for any fan of either the show or the books, I would say it is a must read. 4 stars
