After a hurricane, a tiny bleached skull washes up in front of Detective Louis Kincaid's cottage. Then days later, a bullet-ridden body of a woman washes up on the beach. Her only potential identification is a ring carved out of human bone that she wears. Terrific thriller with lots of suspense.
