I had to fight to get through this book. I normally enjoy history and everything surrounding it, but this book jumped around so much I had trouble following it at times. It would stop at one location and then pick up in another and I'd be hanging there, wondering what the hell happened to such-and-such. I also found myself getting angry at the Church for the way they manipulate their followers to believe what they want them to believe, irregardless of the truth. I know it's always been this way, so I don't know why I got angry, other than it's rubbing your face in it. Anyway, I'm glad to be done with it.
