Because I enjoyed The Lovely Bones so much, I couldn't wait to read this book by the same author. Was I ever disappointed. I tried very hard to read this book, but I finally had to quit about one-quarter of the way through. The story line, the constant flashbacks, just everything about the book was horrifying. If I had wanted to read horror, I would have chose a Stephen King book.
