I liked it but other members of book group really liked it. We had a pretty good discussion about Truly's relationship with the doctor, her friend, Amelia, and her eventual lover Marcus. Truly is a memorable character and I loved her voice. I enjoyed the author's use of language. I think my personal stumbling blocks were the fact that the town's doctor, teacher, and preacher's wife were the "bad guys" this time around.
