Happily I missed this books issue date so I was late reading it and only then had 2 weeks to wait for book #9 in the ongoing story of Lily Wu. This is an excellent series, an ongoing story that the author crafts well, but is very complex with many characters who use magic. Best to read the entire series than just one book, the later books (in my opinion) are better written.
