This was one of my husband's favorite books as a child. He was not, and still is not, a reader, but he remembered tons of details and was so excited when I found it on Paperback Swap that he sat and read the whole thing the minute it arrived. I didn't read it personally, but if my husband liked it, I'd recommend it for the reluctant young male reader without hesitation. He said it was one of the only books he enjoyed as a child and reading it again was just as much fun.
