I do like a nice spooky sea story. This one's got some good elements - the bells, the dobhar chu, the mer-folk. And while the previous big story arc with the asetem was cool, I liked that this one (and the previous) is sort of a stand-alone - it's one case and Harper actually has a client for it. It's a smaller cast of characters without any vampires or the Danzigers, but we learn a lot about detective Rey Solis and a bit more about Quinton. I am expecting both of those stories to show up in subsequent books. Good action, kept me reading.
