The back jacket and review excerpts convinced me to pick up this book as a vacation beach read. I should have chosen something else - I couldn't disagree more with some of the "raves". The characters weren't developed well at all, yet were so predictable and the 'twists and turns' referenced in reviews could be seen coming chapters in advnace. Also, the writing itself was fragmented and awkward which disrupted the flow of the story. The plot itself was choppy, jumping around seemingly without purpose.
It was an interesting idea for a story...it had components that were less than original (the scheming wife and husband with a hidden agenda) but were presented in new ways with themes of sexual frustration, morals and changes of heart.
In the end it was a decent story that was completely ruined by the authors awful writing.
