If I could give this series 10 stars I would. I'm not a big fantasy fan but a few series really stand out and appeal to non-fantasy readers as well. "The Kingkiller Chronicles" is one of those. Even though this second book in the series rambled off course for a couple of hundred pages and left this reader befuddled and anxious, I still can't give it anything but the highest praise. Rothfuss is a terrific writer and his story is captivating. Even though this is just his second novel, he has proved himself the equal of George R.R. Martin, Diana Gabaldon, and Peter Brett. Even if you are not a fan of fantasy literature, pick up "The Name of the Wind" and "The Wise Man's Fear" - you won't regret it.
