3rd installment in files of Fremont Jones. Fremont has left San Francisco in the wake of the Great Earthquake but refuses to stay in Carmel with lover Michael, who has become one of the artsy Bohemian colony in Carmel. Her new job as a temporary lighthouse keeper still brings her into contact with dead bodies and interesting manuscripts to be typed. Very nice conclusion to book but happily not to the series, of which there are 6 at this writing.
