The first book in the Amelia Peabody series, this is a great introduction to a bold and self-sufficient lady. Amelia meets Emerson, her future husband, rescues a young woman in danger, and unravels the mystery of a wandering mummy. If you like your mysteries mixed with Egyptology and a courageous woman who would do Indiana Jones proud, check this out. Highly recommended!
