Fascinating and well-written book that moves through a number of topics, but in a seamless way that comprises an overview of psychopathy and its history and treatment. Ronson writes in a humorous, self-deprecating way, as though he is wavering and being swayed by various pieces of new information. The reader gets the feeling of being on a journey of discovery with the author, seeing psychopathy through the skeptical eyes of Scientologists, as well as from the point of view of the very doctor who created the checklist used to identify psychopaths.
