This book was very much like Memory Keeper's Daughter for me. I don't think that I liked the story, it wasn't at all what I thought the book would be like. Beautiful Girl is an actual character, yet very little of the story was told by her. Going into the book, I thought the story would be about Lynnie (Beautiful Girl) or perhaps the baby that she gave up in the first chapter. I felt like, though it was "Lynnie's story", because it wasn't told by her, it wasn't really about her, it was about all the other characters who were telling the story. The book spans 40 years and I feel like there were major gaps in everyone's stories. Just an 'ok' for me, maybe 2.5 stars. Heartbreaking that things like this went on though.
