This story is a very enjoyable, romantic and entertaining addition to the Chattan Curse series. I'm not a fan of curse plots but I'm glad to say that Maxwell is proving her newest series is worth reading. It's refreshing to come across a lead couple who are independent thinkers yet not so stubborn as to refuse adjusting to their circumstances and to where life leads them. Harry and Portia chose to embrace their chance at love in spite of the very real threat to his life. I also enjoyed reading about Charles, who was the original Chattan male to be cursed, and how he reacted to the news of his past love. And so the solution to the family curse falls to Harry's sister, Margaret, whose story makes the third and final installment in the Chattan series. Well worth the read at four stars.
