John Hart is an excellent writer. This is the 3rd of his books that I have either read or listened to on audio CD. His stories are well-written and his characters well-developed. This story takes place in North Carolina, where John Hart lives. His familiarity with the region and the people adds much to the telling of the story. He makes you care about the people and the problems they face and must overcome.
