This is an anthology which I usually hate because the stories are too short and there is little or no character or plot development. This one was no different.

Ritual in Death by J.D. Robb was terrific but only because this is book 27.5 in a series and there were 27 other books to develop character and plot. And don't forget the steamy shower scene between Eve and Roarke - at the police station no less.

Love Endures by Mary Blayney was boring with very flat characters and a debauched dead husband now a ghost. Very dull.

Cold Case by Ruth Ryan Langan. This was short and sweet but could have been really good if the characters could have been fleshed out a little more.

Wayward Wizard by Mary Kay McComas. This is a new author to me but I'm sure I'll read her again. A good time travel story with a wizard, a mother and her son. The story takes place in four days jumping from present day to 1223 to prehistoric times to 1943 to 2060 and finally back to present day. Could have been really good with some further details to flesh out the plot.
