I actually listened to the audiobook for this one. That may be why I didn't enjoy it. The narrator for this book was the same one that I had just listened to another book by, but in the other book she had played a child, so in Lucky Charm, I kept picturing a 12 year every time she would speak. Which really doesn't work in a romance book.
I also felt a little lost in that there seemed to be 2 stories going on, one with the main characters Gabby and Derek, as well as Gabby's friends Sharon and Richard. And this second story of the friends, it was not a side story, it was almost like they should have had billing on the back blurb. I also felt like they may have had a book to them selves before. It felt like their story started in the middle of something.
I've like Carly Phillips in the past, so I'm sure my problem was really with the audiobook. This just wasn't a favorite of mine.
