Regency ton Miss Honor Cabot is wary of love after being rejected, but when her stepbrother chooses a fiancee who will most likely turn Honor and her three younger sisters and their mother out after the impending death of Honor's wealthy Earl stepfather, the determined Miss Cabot decides to undermine her stepbrother's marriage plans. She makes a devil's bargain with the illegitimate son of a duke, George Easton to entice the fiancee away. Things go wrong when Honor finds she can't stand to have Easton's attentions on any woman other than herself, and she must convince Easton that the attraction growing between them is more important than society's rules.
