The closest I've seen to Stieg Larsson's writing style. Excellent spy novel.

Intense, gripping story starts with a bullet leaving the gun of a paid assassin who realizes as he shoots that the target is the WRONG MAN. International counter-terroris, technology and politics of covert operations (though never too technical; never boring). I was completely engrossed in following the team that had planned that original (mis) assassination, Operation Flute, across oceans & continents, most of all rooting for the main protagonist, Eytan Eckstein, as he came to believe someone had figured out the identities of the international members of Operation Flute and was hunting them down. Couldn't ask for a better spy novel.
