This was a slow book starting out. It took me a long time to get through it, but I didn't give up on it and I am glad I toughed it out. Dru is very reminiscent of the Winchester brothers of TVs Supernatural. She moves around a lot, lost her mother at a young age and has a tough as nails hunter father. I found so many parallels between the show and the book. However, Dru is only a teenager, she is girl, and she is practically alone.
