Enjoyed the story line with all the various charters, both real life public figures, and the ones that were imagined by the author. Could have done without the political commentary, but found it a great read otherwise.

American, British, German and Russian families are chronicled over a span of almost 50 years, from the late 50's until modern day 2000's.
