My review is for the unabridged audio CD version of Unhallowed Ground. There were 8 CDs; about 9 hours of listening.
I thought the story was interesting and I liked the narrator.
While Sarah is having some remodeling done on the old Florida mansion that she has recently bought, they find a skeleton within the walls -- I read that on the back of the audio CD box and bought the CDs. Hey, you never know what stories old houses could tell you if they could speak.
The story has a little bit of romance between Caleb and Sarah, but not enough to make me regret my purchase (I like mystery stories, I don't read romance novels - it is just not me). One of the inhabitants of the house long ago was a housekeeper that practiced voodoo -- does this have a connection to recent missing persons? You will have to either read the book or listen to the story to find out.
The story is not heavy, gruesome, or have graphic scenes. I will probably listen to it again after awhile.
